Private chef — BBQ / grill night
from 500K IDRper event
A private chef comes to your villa, fires up the grill in the garden, and cooks a proper BBQ dinner while you stay by the pool. Think fresh snapper and prawns from the morning market, chicken or beef satay over coconut husk, plus grilled corn, sambal matah and whatever's good that day. It's the easy way to feed a full villa on a warm night. No one has to drive out to a restaurant or scrub a grill afterwards.
Request on WhatsApp
We confirm the exact price on WhatsApp before you commit. You pay the provider directly. This service is provided by an independent supplier, not by Spacious Bali. See our terms.
How it works
- 1Tap the service to open WhatsApp with a message ready to go. Send us your villa or area, the date, how many are eating, and anything you love or can't have, like seafood, halal, or no pork.
- 2We reply within the hour between 8am and 8pm, confirm a set price and a menu with you, then book a chef who grills this style for villas around Canggu and the Bukit. Nothing is locked in until you're happy with it.
- 3The chef arrives with the food and the marinades. They cook on your villa's grill or in the outdoor kitchen, serve everyone, and clear up before they head off.
- 4You pay the chef directly at the end, usually in cash, at the price we already agreed.
Common questions
- What does the price include?
- The starting price is the chef's fee to shop, cook and clean up. Food is on top and moves with what you order and your headcount, since fresh fish and prawns cost more than chicken and vegetables. We work it into one clear number and show it to you on WhatsApp before you commit, so there's no surprise at the end of the night.
- Do we need our own barbecue at the villa?
- Usually not. If there's a built-in BBQ in the garden, the chef cooks on that. If your villa hasn't got a grill, most chefs can bring a portable one with charcoal, and we confirm that when we confirm the chef, before anything is booked. Tell us what's at the villa and we'll fill in the rest.
- How many people can one chef cook for?
- A grill night suits anything from the two of you up to a full villa of a dozen or more. Give us the headcount and we size the food and the chef to match. For bigger groups we'll usually send a helper too, so plates keep coming and nobody's left standing around hungry.
- Can they cook for halal, allergies, or fussy kids?
- Yes. Halal is straightforward, and we can do vegetarian, no-pork, or a plainer plate for the children. Put any allergies in your first message so the chef shops and marinades around them from the start, rather than picking things off at the table.
- What time do they come and how long does it run?
- Most people have the chef arrive in the late afternoon so the grilling lands around sunset, then sit down to eat about seven. Count on two to three hours at the villa across setup, cooking, and clearing. Evening slots go quickly, so a day or two of notice helps, though we'll always try for last minute.
