Private chef — in-villa meals

from 280K IDRper meal

A chef comes to your villa, shops the morning market for whatever is freshest, and cooks in your kitchen while you stay by the pool. It suits a group who would rather not split across scooters for a night out, or a birthday or anniversary you want to keep to yourselves. The chef handles the cooking and the serving, and cleans the kitchen before leaving. You get the meal and skip the washing up.

Request on WhatsApp

We confirm the exact price on WhatsApp before you commit. You pay the provider directly. This service is provided by an independent supplier, not by Spacious Bali. See our terms.

How it works

  1. 1Message us on WhatsApp with your date, how many are eating, and the kind of food you want (a Balinese feast, fresh seafood, a big breakfast, plain plates for the kids). Mention any allergies now so the chef can plan around them.
  2. 2We reply within the hour, 8am to 8pm, with a menu and one all-in price per meal that includes the market shopping. Nothing is booked until you are happy with both.
  3. 3On the day, a chef we know and trust arrives with the ingredients and cooks in your villa kitchen. They serve at the table or by the pool, then clear up once everyone has finished.
  4. 4You pay the chef directly once the meal is done, usually in cash, at the price we already agreed. There is usually nothing to pay up front, though for a big shop the chef may ask for the market money in advance, and we will say so before you confirm. The total we agree is the total you pay.

Common questions

What does the price cover, and what about the ingredients?
The starting price is for the chef cooking a meal at your villa. Ingredients are usually separate and depend on what you order, so a dinner of satay and grilled fish sits at the lower end, while a spread of prawns and imported steak costs more. We send you one total with the shopping included before you say yes, so nothing gets added when the chef turns up.
How many people can one chef cook for?
One chef comfortably handles a villa of two up to about eight. For a bigger group or a party, we send a second pair of hands so everything comes out together and hot. Tell us the headcount when you message and we will size it right.
Can they cook for allergies, vegetarians, or fussy kids?
Yes. Give us the details up front (nut allergy, no pork, vegan, a toddler who only wants plain noodles) and we pass it to the chef before they shop. Balinese kitchens do vegetarian food easily, and most chefs are happy to split the menu, so the adults get a proper local meal and the children get something simple.
Do I need to provide anything in the kitchen?
The chef brings the ingredients and their own knives and key tools, then uses your villa's stove, pots, plates, and gas. Nearly every villa here has enough for this. If your kitchen is small or short of something, tell us the villa name and we will check before the day.
How far ahead should I book, and can I change the time?
A day's notice is ideal so the chef can plan the market shop, though we can often sort a same-day dinner if you message in the morning. Times are flexible inside the 8am to 8pm window, from breakfast to a long lunch to dinner, and if plans shift we just let the chef know. If you need to cancel, tell us as early as you can, since fresh ingredients may already be bought.

Ready when you are.

Send the prefilled message and our team takes it from there, 8am to 8pm.
