Motorbike — large / maxi (250cc+)

from 300K IDRper day

A 250cc bike gives you power a 150cc scooter just doesn't have, and you notice it the moment you put a passenger on the back and head up the Bukit hills to Uluwatu, or take on the longer runs out to the mountains and the east coast. We can set you up with an automatic maxi scooter like a Yamaha XMAX for easy touring, or a KLX-style trail bike for back roads and black-sand tracks. These are proper machines, best suited to riders who already know their way around something bigger than a rental scooter.

Request on WhatsApp

We confirm the exact price on WhatsApp before you commit. You pay the provider directly. This service is provided by an independent supplier, not by Spacious Bali. See our terms.

How it works

  1. 1Tap the service and WhatsApp opens with your dates already filled in. Add which bike you're after, automatic maxi or manual trail, and the villa or area you're staying in.
  2. 2We reply within the hour, 8am to 8pm, check what's free for your dates and send you the day rate before you commit. Longer hires usually bring the price down.
  3. 3A trusted local rental brings the bike to your door with helmets, walks you through the controls and sorts the paperwork. Take it for a quick test ride while they're still there.
  4. 4You pay the rental directly, normally cash in rupiah, either at drop-off or when you hand the bike back. We settle the deposit terms up front so nothing catches you out.

Common questions

What's the difference between the maxi scooter and the trail bike?
The maxi, something like a Yamaha XMAX 250, is a twist-and-go automatic that's comfortable for two and happy on long road runs to the mountains or the coast. The trail bike, KLX or CRF style, is a manual with gears, lighter and taller, and it's the one for dirt tracks and rough back roads. Let us know where you're heading and we'll match the bike to it.
Can it be delivered to my villa?
Yes, anywhere across the Canggu-to-Uluwatu area. The rental brings it to your door with helmets and runs you through the bike before handing over the keys. If you're staying further out, delivery may add a small fee, and we'll give you the figure up front so there's no surprise.
Is insurance included, and what about the deposit?
Usually not. Most bike rentals in Bali carry little or no insurance, so damage or loss is normally on you, and any cover on offer is a paid extra. It also only holds if you're properly licensed for a bike this size, meaning a motorcycle licence and an International Driving Permit. We confirm exactly what is and isn't covered, plus the deposit, before you book. Most rentals ask for a cash deposit or a passport photocopy. Never hand over your actual passport, and if a rental insists on holding it, tell us.
How long can I rent for?
Anything from a single day upwards. Weekly and monthly hires work out much cheaper per day than a one-day rate, so if you're around for a while it's worth asking about a longer booking. We'll quote you both the daily and the longer rate so you can weigh it up.
