A 150 to 160cc automatic scooter, the Honda PCX or Yamaha NMAX sort of thing, with enough pull to carry two people up the hills to Uluwatu or out to Ubud without straining. Around Canggu the lanes are narrow and the traffic is real, but a bike this size threads through it and still holds steady at speed on the bypass. Petrol costs next to nothing and you can leave it almost anywhere, so most guests find it quicker than waiting on a car. You need a motorcycle licence and an International Driving Permit to ride legally in Bali, and police do check.

How it works

1. 1Tap the service to open WhatsApp with a message already written. Tell us your villa or hotel, how many days you want the bike, and roughly how tall you are so the provider brings a model that fits you.
2. 2We confirm the exact daily rate with you on WhatsApp before you commit, check a bike is free for your dates, and line up a local rental shop we trust. Book for a week and the per-day price usually comes down.
3. 3The provider rides it to your door with two helmets, walks you through the controls and the fuel gauge, and asks for a passport photo or a small cash deposit, which is standard practice here.
4. 4You pay the provider directly, normally cash in rupiah, at drop-off or when they come to collect the bike at the end. Petrol is on you, and it's cheap. A full tank is around 100,000 rupiah.

Common questions

Will you deliver it to the villa?

Yes. Delivery and pick-up are normally included in the main areas between Canggu and Uluwatu. Send us the villa name or a map pin and a time, and the provider meets you there. Somewhere further out or off the main stretch can add a small delivery charge, which we'll flag in the quote before you commit.

How is this different from the cheap 110cc scooters?

Mostly power and comfort. A 150 to 160cc bike carries two adults up steep roads without labouring and holds a firmer line on the bypass. The seat is wider too, and there's more storage under it. If you're solo on flat roads, a smaller one does the job. For the hills, or for two people, this is the one to take.

What comes with it, and what do I pay for on top?

Two helmets come with the bike, and a phone holder or a raincoat can usually be added if you ask when you book. Petrol is the main running cost, and it's cheap. Fill up with Pertamax at proper Pertamina stations rather than the roadside bottles when you can, and a tank lasts several days of normal riding.

Can I keep it longer, or hand it back early?

Both are easy. Daily is the standard hire, and weekly bookings bring the rate down, so tell us roughly how long you want it and we'll price it to match. If plans shift, message us and we'll sort an extension or an early return with the provider. Nothing's fixed until you've agreed the price with us first.
